World Mycelium Storytelling Night Redux

Hi Mycelium Friends!
A few months we organized an event during Los Angeles Climate Week, alongside Plant Based Treaty, World Mycelium Storytelling Night. I was in the middle of writing a one-person show, which was a big reason why we had to postpone it. Sorry about that!
Like the mycelium beneath our feet, we are all interconnected, extensions of the underground systems in the soil. Everything on earth is bound together by the tapestry that is mycelium. With World Mycelium Storytelling Night, our goal was to host an event for mycologist to share their stories around their most important fungal life experiences.
Our company, L.A. Mushrooms wants to honor the mycelial network and invite you to our world debut of The Psilocybin Files: Becoming Resilient Like Fungi, a one-person show around "one man’s return back from the mushroom underground."
I have spent the better part of my adult life being studied by the mycelium, and I am here to report back what the mycelium has learned about the human experience. While that might sound ridiculous, it makes a fun, exciting, and fascinating one-person show that brings laughter, grief, and an entire spectrum of much needed feelings.
The Psilocybin Files is my return back from the mushroom underground, after decades of administering psilocybin to myself, without sharing this healing work with any friends, family, or neighbors. Through his relationship with mushrooms, I learned how to become resilient like fungi, tap into the mycelial network, live in a decentralized mushroom world.

As you know by now, I consider fungi his older teacher, a mentor, and elder sibling, helping to teach me how to operate in a more intuitive and interconnected way. Until now, I have lived in secrecy for decades without telling anyone about these moments with the mycelium. This show is a mushroom memoir, with anecdotes and stories from my life receiving downloads from the fungi, channeling the mushroom spirit world, and navigating Mother Earth as a representative of the mycelium. I will share stories of cultivating fungi, as much as the fungi have cultivated him. Come join us for a show about one man’s relationship with an entire kingdom of life on earth!
Kat Yalung, an Embodiment & Divine Feminine coach, spiritual advisor & somatic healer will join the shows on Friday, June 6, and Friday, June 20.
William Padilla-Brown, a Multidisciplinary Citizen Scientist practicing social science, mycology, phycology, molecular biology, and additive manufacturing will join the show on Saturday, June 14.

I’d love to bring this one-person to the west cost this fall, and the rest of the country this spring! Any feedback is appreciated. 😃
I’d also love to host more events in Los Angeles around mycelium, ones that are more interactive.
Mush Love,
Ryan
